I just returned from a 10 day Buddhist retreat. I had no idea what the retreat was about before I went except that it had something to do with meditation. It entailed quite long days with lots of intense teachings. One of the things I found fascinating however, was that during those teachings, the teacher applauded the movie The Secret. While speaking with one of his students I found out that he considered it “very Tibetan”.
While speaking with a very devout Catholic I heard how much the Law of Attraction fits right in with the Catholic faith. Of course, anyone who has seen The Secret or read the book knows they use biblical quotes right in there.
New Agers use energy and the manipulation of energy regularly which is using the Law of Attraction. It seems more and more religions have been teaching us this principle for thousands of years. When are we going to get right down to listening?
